We are proud to offer a three-year, ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program designed to provide a comprehensive and personalized training experience. Our traditional Internal Medicine track integrates both inpatient and outpatient care, equipping residents with the skills and confidence needed to excel as internists, hospitalists, or pursue fellowship opportunities.
Training is primarily based at our main hospital in St. Joseph, Michigan, where residents benefit from a low trainee-to-faculty ratio, ensuring close mentorship and individualized learning. Our faculty bring diverse expertise from renowned institutions such as Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, Loyola University, Columbia, Henry Ford, and the University of Michigan.
We are academically affiliated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and host medical students from Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine and Central Michigan University College of Medicine, fostering a dynamic and collaborative educational environment.
Our mission is to develop well-rounded internists who are both competent and confident, prepared to thrive in any clinical setting, whether community-based, urban, rural, or academic environments.
