The Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery program at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is a five-year residency, including the tracked internship. Established in 1979, Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital proudly supports the education and surgical training of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery residents and has many ENT graduates across the country. The program is accredited by the ACGME. The program is accredited for two residents per year and recruits two PGY-1 residents each year.

Our mission is to train Otolaryngology residents and medical students to continue our tradition of providing compassionate, extraordinary care to a diverse population. The Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital Otolaryngology Residency Program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that prepares physicians to meet the demands of a contemporary medical and surgical practice in urban and suburban community hospitals. Residents learn to provide patient- and family-centered care, contributing to the health and well-being of patients throughout the community. The Otolaryngology residency program will continue to make every effort to instill core values of compassion, professionalism, integrity, and excellence.

The residency provides a wide exposure to techniques involving management of head and neck pathology, pediatric ENT, head and neck trauma, airway emergencies, as well as post-operative care of patients. ENT residents provide all Emergency Department call and inpatient consultation services with supervision from attending physicians.
Affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) ENT residents coordinate and participate in the Statewide Campus System (SCS) Otolaryngology Symposiums of
The SCS is a partnership of twenty major osteopathic teaching hospitals and MSUCOM.
To support and encourage our Underrepresented Minority (URM) Medical Students in securing a rotation, the Otolaryngology program participates in the AAO-HNS Diversity Endowment URM Away Rotation Grant. This grant provides URM students an opportunity to secure funding for an away rotation with an approved ENT program and dedicated mentoring and assistance during the rotation. Additionally, the program encourages URM students to review the URM Otology/Neurotology Travel Grant provided by the American Neurotology Society at Diversity & Inclusion.
