Schedule PGY - 1
- 2 months general surgery
- 1 month anesthesia
- 1 month ICU
- 1 month plastic surgery
- 1 month emergency medicine
- 6 months ENT
Schedule PGY - 2
- 10 months ENT split between Farmington Hills and Royal Oak
- 1 month research
- 1 month elective (at an approved site)
Schedule PGY - 3
- 3 months ENT split between Farmington Hills and Royal Oak
- 2 months head and neck surgery
- 2 months neurotology
- 3 months pediatric ENT
- 1 month research
- 1 month elective (at an approved site)
Schedule PGY - 4
- 8 months ENT split between Farmington Hills and Royal Oak
- 2 months head and neck surgery
- 1 month research
- 1 month elective
Schedule PGY - 5
- 11 months ENT split between Farmington Hills and Royal Oak
- 1 month elective (at an approved site; must be a clinical rotation)
Additional funding provided annually for:
- In-service exam
- AAO-HNS home study course
- Board vitals
- Presentations
Resident responsibilities
- Weekly lectures are presented by residents on topics outlined annually based on COCLIA topics from the AAO-HNS
- Monthly anatomy lab lectures and dissections
- Present cases at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital Tumor Board and trauma conferences
- Monthly journal club provides opportunities with core faculty and guest lecturers
- Opportunities for independent temporal bone dissection
