A woman stands beside a poster detailing clinical trials at the Beaumont Research Institute, showcasing research opportunities.

Our clinical researchers coordinate over 25 clinical trials, including physician-initiated single center studies and industry/NIH sponsored multi center trials.

The Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Research Institute is a 72,000 square foot complex which houses facilities that provide an avenue for bench, animal and clinical research.

We also have 4 biostatisticians on staff to help with research projects.

Fellows gain experience in research education through:

  • conferences
  • lectures
  • a mentoring program that matches each trainee with an experienced mentor that work with the fellow on their individual scholarly project from inception to completion

There is a full-time research director, research nurse and research Ph.D. as well as leaders in pediatric emergency medicine and emergency medicine research among the faculty members.

Research requirement

Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellows are required to complete at least one research project in which they are the primary author. We have a staff of physicians, biostatisticians, and research coordinators to help fellows complete their research projects.
