A simple act for a serious need

Thanks to incredible advances in medicine, lives are being saved every day — but there’s still no substitute for blood. The gift of blood donation brings hope and healing, and every contribution helps create a healthier tomorrow.

Ready to roll up your sleeves?

Versiti, our primary partner for blood donation, hosts blood drives at several Corewell Health locations and at Versiti’s donation centers. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-in donors are welcome.

The donation process usually takes one hour, including registration, a brief medical screening, and blood collection. Donors must show a photo ID, such as a driver’s license. Review donor eligibility and FAQs.

Every unit of donated blood undergoes rigorous safety testing and is ready to help patients in as little as 24 hours.
