Katie Kammert (Class of 2023) in June 2021 accompanied Dr. Craig Kline, a Lakeland General Surgeon, to Hôpital Baptiste Biblique in Togo, West Africa. While there she assisted with a variety of cases including hernia repairs, hysterectomies, I&Ds, and lye ingestions.

Marcus Fazzari (Class of 2021) accompanied a general surgeon from Lakeland, Dr. Craig Kline, who served as an excellent mentor and teacher. While in Togo, he assisted in performing close to 60 surgical cases ranging from hernia repairs to large tumor removals.
Sierra Leone
Larisa Grinvalds (Class of 2020) traveled to Mattru Jong, Sierra Leone on a medical mission trip in January 2020 during her fourth year of residency. The hospital in Mattru has less than 100 beds and serves as a referral hospital for the entire Bonthe district of 200,000 people.
