The pediatric residency program at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital provides residents with an outstanding and comprehensive education in a unique, supportive, collaborative environment. Utilizing the resources of Corewell Health, which is both a major provider of primary care and a large tertiary referral center, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, our diverse primary care, advocacy, and educational communities, and the supervision and mentorship of dedicated academic faculty, our residents learn in varied, dynamic hospital-based and ambulatory settings. Whether residents pursue pediatric subspecialty training or careers in primary care pediatrics, pediatric hospital medicine, or medical education, the pediatric residency program develops compassionate, knowledgeable pediatricians, successful, independent, evidence-based clinicians and teachers, and strong community and patient advocates.

  • Develop residents who are well-grounded in the principles of assessment and interpretation of medical evidence and its application in the practice of pediatrics
  • Develop residents who are active participants in improving the quality of patient care and patient safety outcomes
