Psychological, emotional, and physical well-being are critical in the development of competent, caring, and resilient pediatricians and require active attention in life inside and outside of medicine. The pediatric residency program promotes the professional ideals of self-care, resiliency, and the responsibility to support other colleagues and members of the health care team. Through a variety of resources and methods, the program models, teaches, and nurtures these important professionalism skills and supports the well-being of our residents.
I chose Corewell Health Children’s Pediatric Residency Program because I felt it would best equip me for my future as a pediatrician. Corewell Health Children’s is unique because it offers the education and research opportunities of a larger academic hospital while maintaining the friendliness and family oriented nature of a community hospital. We are a close-knit group and regardless of whether you want a career in hospital-based pediatrics, to enter into a private practice, or to pursue a fellowship, Corewell Health Children’s will prepare you for whichever path you decide to take!
