The Department of Radiology provides the full spectrum of radiology services for our patients. Our equipment is state-of-the-art and regularly updated.
Imaging Center
Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is home to a dedicated free-standing Imaging Center on campus, which is a multistory building which houses a gamut of radiology services and includes a state-of-the-art conference room.
- One 1.5-Tesla MRI scanner and one 3-Tesla MRI scanner (for body, MSK, and neuro examinations)
- Two CT scanners
- Four digital ultrasound units
- Three fluoroscopy units
- Two digital general diagnostic rooms
The Breast Imaging Center is part of the Comprehensive Breast Care Center that functions jointly with Surgery and Radiation Oncology
- Five ultrasound units
- Stereotactic prone and upright core biopsy units
- 3-Tesla breast MR units with capability for MR guided procedures
- Top of the line mammography units with tomosynthesis and spot tomosynthesis
Emergency and Inpatient Radiology
- Four fluoroscopic units
- Eight digital general diagnostic units
- Six CT scanners
- Twenty ultrasound units
- Five MRI scanners
Nuclear Medicine
- Two PET/CT scanners
