The hematopathology fellowship program at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital offers a comprehensive one-year ACGME accredited fellowship program based in an 1131 bed tertiary care teaching hospital that is part of a larger 8 hospital system with busy inpatient, outpatient and outreach laboratory services.

The fellowship program offers subspecialty training in all aspects of diagnostic hematopathology including laboratory administration/ management in a high-volume hematology laboratory, coagulation consultations for bleeding and thrombotic disease, detailed interpretation of peripheral blood smears, bone marrow, lymphoid tissues and body fluids (including the appropriate use and integration of immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetic/FISH and molecular data). The fellow will also have opportunities to participate in medical technologist, medical student and resident teaching, clinical and teaching conferences and clinical research.
