Cardiovascular research at Corewell Health serves as an educational teamwork endeavor, one that continues to push our knowledge base forward and seeks to answer particular questions that we may have. Corewell Health hospital has been on the forefront of research and cutting-edge technologies in the field of acute myocardial infarction, structural heart disease, and coronary CT angiography. Corewell Health research faculty are nationally renowned for their expertise, research history, and publications.

Fellows are matched with a research mentor that helps guide them through developing their research questions, designing a study that analyzes and tests their hypothesis, selecting adequate statistical techniques, presenting their findings in national meetings, and drafting a paper for submission to a scientific journal. Over the last year, fellows have successfully presented numerous abstracts at national meetings and submitted multiple manuscripts to medical journals.

In addition to retrospective studies, fellows are exposed to multicenter, sponsor-initiated prospective trials that expose them to novel cutting-edge technologies that we can deliver to our patients.

Research is an exciting venue that we are all proud to be involved with at the hospital and remains an essential part of our training program.
