Accessible teen-friendly care

Located inside or close to schools, our teen health centers make it easy for youth to access quality health care without missing class or causing a parent to miss work. We provide a range of age-appropriate and relevant services, including:

General medical services

Health care services are available to youth ages 10 to 21; special education students receive services through age 26. Available services include, but aren't limited to:

  • Acute illness and injury care
  • Immunizations
  • Pap smears and pelvic exams
  • Primary health care
  • School, sports, and work physicals
  • STD and HIV testing and treatment

Mental health and counseling

Our teen centers offer a wide variety of services designed to help adolescents and young adults struggling with behavioral health challenges. Services include:

  • Anger management groups
  • Counseling services for individuals and families
  • Crisis intervention
  • First-time and early juvenile offender diversion program
  • Referrals to other services

Health education

Through a variety of innovative programs, the Corewell Health Teen Centers help young people, their families, and their communities make healthy choices. Services include:

Community education

Staff and teen peer educators present to community organizations such as school, religious, professional, and parent groups on important adolescent health topics.

Health insurance outreach

Including parent education and application assistance.

Peer education programs

Topics include nutrition and fitness, pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infections, substance abuse, and violence.

Youth programs

Including after-school and summer programs that give teens healthy ways to spend their free time.
