Corewell Health’s Rehab and Nursing Center – Kentridge is a 165-bed facility serving patients who need short-term rehab after surgery, serious injury or illness and/or long-term care. We also have the unique ability to serve patients with long-term complex care needs after neurological injury due to wounds, significant medical complexities, oxygen dependence, or various other needs. The rehab program has a proud 30+ year history of specialty Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation in general medical rehab as well as specialty areas of stroke and brain injury. Many team members have received specialized training and certifications to care for patients with neurological injuries. The building boasts three spacious rehab gyms with specialized equipment including a treadmill, unweighted gait systems, E-stim devices, and more. Multiple enclosed courtyards, an outdoor gazebo, a patio with recreational garden, and an outdoor mobility path are additional features for both rehab and recreation.
In addition to multiple medical providers, the program has a dedicated wound nurse, infection prevention nurse, and onsite respiratory therapist to address complex medical needs. Physical, occupational, speech, recreation, and music therapists deliver personalized therapy plans to support each patient’s unique rehabilitation journey. A physical medicine and rehabilitation provider is available for onsite consultation when needed.
