Jason Joseph

Chief Digital & Information Officer

Jason R. Joseph, MBA, is the chief digital and information officer for Corewell Health™ — formed by the joining together of Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health in 2022.

As chief digital & information officer, Jason leads strategic and operational digital, information and technology services with a primary focus on creating efficiencies and simplifying experiences for the system’s patients, health plan members, employees and community. Jason leads the system’s digital services teams, which include information technology, applications, consumer digital products and platforms, digital health and innovation, cybersecurity, integrated data and analytics services, clinical and biomedical technologies, project and portfolio management services as well as and emergency preparedness.

Over the course of his career, Jason has implemented a variety of consumer-facing digital technologies and completed large-scale system implementations, including enterprise resource planning, electronic medical record and integrated clinical and revenue cycle platforms. Most recently, he has led efforts to accelerate and integrate nearly all technology platforms and applications for Corewell Health. He has advanced the system’s cybersecurity stance, business intelligence and analytics capabilities, operational effectiveness and helped build a culture of excellence and innovation. Before joining Corewell Health in 2006, Jason led Information Services for IdeaSphere, a manufacturer of health and wellness products. Jason began his career with Ernst & Young, where he specialized in enterprise software architecture, application development and enterprise technology integration.

Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Western Michigan University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame where he graduated at the top of his class. He also holds a certificate in health care project management from Harvard School of Public Health and is a graduate of Spectrum Health Executive Leadership Institute at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Jason received the John R. Malone Award for the highest academic performance in his class at the University of Notre Dame and recently received the 2023 Alumni Excellence Award from the Western Michigan University College of Engineering and Applied Science. He is a board member and past board president at Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and serves on the regional Fifth Third Bank, STEM Greenhouse and Scottsdale Institute boards. He is actively involved in various CIO, technology and health care leadership associations, including the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and actively supports several other local and national organizations.
