Jason Joseph

Chief Digital and Information Officer

Jason R. Joseph, MBA, is the Chief Digital and Information Officer for Corewell Health—formerly Beaumont Health and Spectrum Health.

As Chief Digital and Information Officer, Jason leads strategic and operational information services with a primary focus on simplifying and enhancing the health care experience for the system’s patients, health plan members, teams and communities. Through easy-to-use digital platforms, applications, technology and medical devices, Jason and his team aim to make health more accessible and equitable. An able communicator and agile problem-solver, Jason also leads the system’s efforts in cybersecurity, data and analytics, clinical technology and emergency preparedness.

Jason’s interest in consumer-focused technologies is longstanding. As Chief Digital and Information Officer for Spectrum Health, he implemented multiple consumer-facing digital technologies and an integrated clinical and revenue cycle system. He also created and grew a regional health information exchange, advanced the system’s business intelligence and analytics capabilities, and helped build a culture of excellence and innovation. Before joining Spectrum Health in 2006, Jason served as Vice President, Information Systems and Services for IdeaSphere, a manufacturer of health and wellness products. Jason began his career with Ernst & Young, where he specialized in enterprise software development and integration.

Jason earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame. He also holds a certificate in health care project management from Harvard School of Public Health and is a graduate of Spectrum Health Executive Leadership Institute at University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Jason graduated at the top of his class at the University of Notre Dame and received the John R. Malone Award for the highest academic performance. He is a board member and past board president at Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and serves on the Fifth Third Bank West Michigan, STEM Greenhouse and Scottsdale Institute boards. He is actively involved in International CIO Leadership Association, Scottsdale Institute, College of Healthcare Information Management Executives and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.
