About

Program description

Our mission is to develop well-rounded competent general surgeons that will have the ability to practice in a rural setting or in a large academic institution.

The program is designed to provide both didactic and operative experience and training in all aspects of general surgery

Residents have the opportunity to begin their operative education early in a community-based residency program with the educational resources of a large academic institution.

Our residents achieve clinical competency and are ready to enter practice or obtain competitive fellowships in five years.
