General application considerations

  • Our program offers a four-year ACGME accredited postgraduate residency training program approved for four residents at each year level, for a total of 16 residents
  • Selection for participation in our program is competitive
  • The number of applications and their quality continue to increase yearly

Corewell Health believes strongly that the selection of high-quality residents for its graduate training programs is critical to our mission of providing the highest quality education programs. To this end, in compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) institutional requirements, applicants must meet one of the following qualifications to be considered eligible for matriculation into our residency programs:

  • Graduate of a Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), accredited medical school in the U.S. or Canada, or
  • Graduate of an osteopathic school accredited by the AOA, or
  • Graduate of medical school outside the U.S. with a valid certificate from the ECFMG, or
  • Graduate of medical school outside the U.S. with a full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. licensing jurisdiction, or
  • Completed a fifth pathway program provided by an LCME accredited medical school

Corewell Health participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) to select candidates for its residency programs. All applications for Corewell Health OBGYN residency positions are received through. Candidates are invited for residency CAS interviews based on their eligibility and selection criteria.


Application information

Applications for residencies/fellowships must be submitted through residency CAS (unless otherwise indicated).

  • Do not send any application material to the program director
  • If selected for an interview, you will be contacted personally by phone or email, or through the residency CAS processing system
    • Only completed applications will receive final consideration
  • If you have any questions regarding the interview process or your application, please contact the program manager/coordinator listed for the program
