Surgery Residency at Dearborn and Trenton

The General Surgery Residency Program at Corewell Health Trenton Hospital and Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a fully accredited, five-year program leading to board certification eligibility. The program follows the Score curriculum, facilitating education in general surgery with exposure to surgical sub-specialties.

In addition to being involved with patient care, residents experience

  • weekly didactic session
  • monthly statewide conferences though Michigan State University
  • cadaver lab sessions during their second year
  • skills lab throughout statewide campus
  • monthly journal club
