Emergency Medicine Residency at Dearborn and Trenton

The aim of the emergency medicine residency program at Corewell Health Trenton Hospital and Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is to provide exceptional academic and clinical training to develop emergency medicine physicians to serve our communities.

  • A three-year program residency program
  • Program accredited by ACGME
  • Provides experience with significant management responsibilities
  • 72 Board-certified emergency physicians providing a wealth of different perspectives and areas of expertise
  • Leads to eligibility for board certification by the American Board of Emergency Medicine

Corewell Health Hospital, Trenton & Dearborn

  • Trenton is a 193-bed acute care hospital providing comprehensive medical and surgical care to meet the needs of the growing downriver communities it serves
  • Dearborn is a 632-bed teaching hospital with Primary Stroke Center Accreditation
  • Both hospitals have level II trauma status
  • Each hospital has 8 residency programs; Dearborn also offers 2 fellowship programs
  • Program is accredited by the ACGME
  • Trenton is affiliated with the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine
  • Dearborn is a clinical campus for Wayne State University School of Medicine
  • 6 residents per year are chosen through NRMP as a Trenton program
