The gastroenterology fellowship at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is designed to provide excellent clinical training to prepare fellows for a career in clinical practice in a community setting. We provide all trainees a broad experience in clinical gastroenterology. In addition, we have unique experiences in several areas including hepatobiliary diseases with extensive exposure to endoscopic ultrasound and diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP. Fellows are provided intense exposure to liver transplantation through their hepatology rotations. Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is located in Southern Oakland County, a very diverse area with a population from a wide range of racial and socioeconomic backgrounds. This diversity creates an outstanding opportunity to manage a wide variety of medical conditions and fascinating diseases. Many of the patients under the care of our fellows are from underserved populations. Following the satisfactory completion of the program, the fellow is board eligible for certification in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
