Palliative Care

Palliative Care

About

Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, clinical specialists, social workers, clergy, and others works together to provide high-quality, coordinated care. We help manage many symptoms, including pain, shortness of breath, fatigue, constipation, nausea, loss of appetite, sleep problems, and side effects from treatments.

Services provided

  • Expert treatment of pain and other symptoms for optimal relief
  • Discussion of treatment options and patient-centered goals of care
  • Emotional support for the patient and family
  • Care coordination with patient’s health care providers and specialty teams

With a patient-centered approach to care, our team helps ease transitions between care settings, integrates pain and symptom control into all stages of treatment, and helps decrease the length of hospital and intensive care stays.
