Event description
Practical Update in Cardiology is designed to provide attendees with a comprehensive review of the latest breakthroughs and advances in cardiovascular medicine. With a combination of didactic lectures, case-based presentations, and panel discussions, faculty will discuss cutting-edge therapies as well as common challenges encountered in daily clinical practice.
Objectives
- Discuss how to manage heart failure when GDMT is not working
- Describe new technologies to treat valvular heart disease
- Discuss when to use coronary calcium scoring
- Review advances in pulmonary embolism care
- Discuss renal denervation for resistant hypertension
- Describe which cardiac patients can be treated safely in an ASC
