Family Medicine Osteopathic Faculty

The primary faculty includes four full-time Family Medicine physicians who supervise the residents’ continuity clinic and two Family Medicine physicians certified in additional sub-specialties. The director and associate program director handle program development, teaching, supervising and coordinating all aspects of resident education.

I was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and attended Michigan State University for both undergrad and medical school. Go Green! I completed my residency at Botsford Hospital (Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital) and have been on staff ever since. My favorite part of being involved in medical education is the energy and enthusiasm residents bring to the clinic. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three boys. Particularly playing sports with them and spending time outdoors, especially on the water.

Since graduation I am currently core faculty for Corewell Health Farmington Hills' family medicine residency program and also the Director for 3rd year medical student lectures at Farmington Hills. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my daughter and husband, running, hiking, and traveling.

I grew up in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan. I attended Wayne State University for undergrad and went to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. I completed my residency at Corewell Health Farmington Hills and decided to stay on as core faculty. I love traveling. My favorite spots so far include San Sebastián, Spain, and Bar Harbor, Maine. I also enjoy cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with my husband, 2 kids, and dog.

I grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. For medical school, I attended Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) in East Lansing and then went on to complete residency with a built-in fellowship at Botsford Hospital (now Corewell Health East) in Farmington Hills. I carry board certifications in family medicine and neuromusculoskeletal medicine integrated with osteopathic manipulative medicine. After residency, I gained valuable attending roles as a team physician and medical director of a division III college, general osteopathic family medicine clinic physician, inpatient medicine rounder and consultant, clinical peer reviewer/auditor, resident core faculty member, and mentor/advisee. My teaching passion through medical education allows me to actively participate and share in the development of young, intelligent clinical minds. I strive to help my patients find their best health from within, imparting this approach to resident and student trainees. Outside the office, I love spending and investing time with my family-wife, and 2 boys. I enjoy exercising, all things that are sports, DIY/wood-working, and being in the great outdoors.

I grew up in Livonia, MI and attended Detroit Catholic Central High School where I helped lead our football team to its third consecutive state championship and also was an all-state wrestler. I played football at Saginaw Valley State University before transferring to MSU where I graduated with honors in human biology. I was proud to serve as vice president of the MSUCOM Class of 2014. I completed my family medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine residency at Botsford (Corewell Health Farmington Hills) and then a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the Detroit Medical Center. I currently serve as a team physician for the Detroit Red Wings.

Outside of medicine, I love spending time with my wife and two children. I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, camping, skiing, fishing, cooking, and traveling.

I am honored to be able to teach osteopathic manipulation at the same residency program that has set me up for success. My goal is to inspire you and empower you to utilize OMT in your practice
