Philanthropy is essential to fulfilling our goal of becoming an NCI-designated cancer center — the first in West Michigan — and opening new doors to novel treatments while we continue the work that has earned us a 98% satisfaction rate. Our physicians and team members bring both expertise and compassion to everything they do — expanding our outreach, reducing health disparities and inequities, and coming alongside our patients as they fight possibly the hardest battle of their lives.

Your support will help make Corewell Health the place where more treatments are found, more answers are given, and more battles are won in the fight against cancer.

Although our care is always exceptional, complex conditions like spina bifida, anencephaly, and twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome may require moms to visit specialized centers outside of West Michigan. That’s why we need further investment in training, equipment, operating room enhancements, and more — to keep moms and babies close to home when they need it most. With your partnership, we’ll be able to continue offering the affordable, equitable, and exceptional care our community needs. Life-saving procedures will happen here, local moms and babies will receive uninterrupted pre- and post-natal care, and West Michigan will become a destination for moms outside the region.

Endowed positions and programs are an important enhancement for the recruitment and retention of world-class physicians. These esteemed roles — common in academic medical centers but comparatively rare in community hospital systems like Corewell Health — support pioneering programs and advanced therapies, bolstering our objective to provide the highest quality of care to our patients. Endowments ensure support for clinicians to engage in the research necessary to advance patient care, demonstrate our commitment to innovation through capital investment in equipment and facilities, and facilitate meaningful discoveries to improve outcomes for all.

Annual endowment disbursements support programs and position enhancements that are — due to inadequate insurance reimbursement — often enhanced or made possible through philanthropy. For a minimum of $50,000, with flexible payment terms up to five years, you can designate your endowment area and trust that investment earnings will grow over time to continually fund your philanthropic priorities.
