Executive Health

The components of the executive physical include a review of past medical history, family history, current health status, and a series of screening examinations.

Because lifestyle decisions can affect the degree of risk for certain health conditions, we encourage discussion of issues such as diet, vitamin use, exercise, sleep quality, and stress, as well as any health or lifestyle questions participants might have. Careful attention is given to identifying personal risk factors for certain health problems and to discussing strategies for minimizing them.

Participants can choose a desired physical date that fits into their schedule. All tests take place within a single day. Participants are accompanied by a Corewell Health team member to assist with the check-in process and to eliminate wait time between tests. Our team will cater to individual needs of the client on the day of the physical.

In addition to all the standard components of an executive physical, a group of screening tests will also be performed. These exams may vary from participant to participant based on factors such as their personal and family medical history, age, and gender. Our goal is to provide the most relevant testing, with the greatest probability of identifying costly present and future health risks based on each individual’s unique circumstances.

If a client or their examining physician requests further tests or consultations, our staff can assist in coordinating appointments.

Once test results are available, clients will receive a summary of their physical examination, any pertinent medical findings, and copies of all test results in MyChart. Specific recommendations will be made for reducing their risk of developing major health problems.

Yes. The physicians at Corewell Health Employer Services are not intended to replace primary care physicians. Having a regular doctor is still important. If a client doesn’t have a primary care physician, Corewell Health can help them find a doctor.

We will only share information about a participant’s health with their employer if the participant explicitly grants permission in writing.

Corewell Health will not bill your insurance company for payment. Corporations will be billed directly for executive physicals and for applicable supplementary evaluations or tests. Individuals who privately schedule executive physicals will similarly be responsible for all charges incurred.

Note that if any additional specialty appointments are requested through the Executive Health program, the level of coverage may differ from that provided for an executive physical.

Participants may wish to confirm financial coverage with their employer or health plan.
