This January, our team members will once again unite across Michigan to honor the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through meaningful acts of service. In partnership with more than 30 community organizations, we’ll offer nearly 1,000 volunteer activities, each a chance to demonstrate our shared commitment to compassion, equity, and community. In 2025, more than 650 team members took part in these opportunities.
Since Congress established the King Holiday and Service Act in 1994, Martin Luther King Jr. Day has stood as a National Day of Service — a day that calls us to action, not just reflection. By giving back, we help build inclusive communities where every voice is valued, and every person belongs.
From sorting food at the Gleaners Warehouse in Taylor, to mentoring teens at the Boys and Girls Club Smilow Teen Center in Benton Harbor, to celebrating with Special Olympics athletes in Grand Rapids, our team members will join hands with communities across Michigan to make a lasting impact, one act of service at a time.
