Our mission is to train Obstetrics and Gynecology Residents to provide exceptional, compassionate care to all women in our diverse suburban community. The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Corewell Health Trenton Hospital is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience that prepares physicians to meet the demands of contemporary obstetrics and gynecology practice. Residents learn how to provide patient- and family-centered care, contributing to the health and well-being of women throughout the community. We aim to retain our graduates to continue to serve the women in our community.
Corewell Health Trenton Hospital is a 193-bed acute care teaching hospital. The hospital opened its doors to Trenton and its surrounding communities in 1961. It became part of Corewell Health in September 2014. In addition to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for its patients, the hospital offers all private beds, a medical and surgical intensive care unit, a Level II trauma center, and newly renovated family birthing center.
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program has a resident complement of 8, accepting two residents per year. Physicians accepted into the program will follow the requirements of the ACGME and graduates will be certified by either ABOOG or ABOG. All residents attend weekly lectures, monthly conferences, as well as other various educational activities through Michigan State University Statewide Campus System.
