Corewell Health's Psychiatry Residency program offers six PGY-1 positions each academic year. Applications are reviewed with attention to the candidate's interpersonal, academic, and clinical skills, work ethic, and previous experiences.
- an LCME accredited medical school or be a student in good standing in such a medical school, with the date of graduation anticipated before the start of the residency year
- an AOA accredited medical school or be a student in good standing in such a medical school, with the date of graduation anticipated before the start of the residency year
- a medical school approved by the World Health Organization and Educational Commission on Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG). International medical graduates must be certified by the ECFMG in time to begin orientation at the end of June, and residency training on July 1
Based on this screening, applicants will be selected for interview.
