Get connected with inclusive care, resources, and medical specialists.
You deserve to receive care in a safe, affirming environment that recognizes your unique identity and needs. At Corewell Health, that’s what we provide. Our experienced team is dedicated to addressing the specific health needs of our LGBTQIA+ community, including hormone therapy, adult surgeries, mental health support, and more.
We prioritize understanding and celebrating your identity, ensuring you feel seen and heard at every step of your health journey. We know you’re not alone, so we have family support services as well. At Corewell Health, we’re committed to make health care a place where you immediately feel heard, respected, and understood.
We have specialists in a wide range of treatments, including psychotherapy, medication management, addiction services, and suicide-prevention programs.
We’re honored that Corewell Health hospitals have been recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2026 Healthcare Equality Index for their commitment to equity and inclusion. Our three Southwest Michigan hospitals earned the highest designation, Equality Leader, and our 10 West Michigan hospitals were recognized as High Performers based on policies and practices that support patients, families, and employees.

To earn the “Safe and Affirming” designation, health professionals individually complete an online training program developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. The training covers a variety of clinical and cultural topics—such as proper terms, how to use pronouns, and much more—with the goal of reducing gaps in care, increasing trust, and building intentional connections with the LGBTQIA+ community.
