Providing safe, affirming, compassionate care

Navigating health care as an LGBTQIA+ adult can be filled with challenges—whether it's finding providers who are knowledgeable and affirming, addressing specific health needs that aren’t always well understood, or overcoming the fear of discrimination or misgendering. At Corewell Health, we recognize these unique struggles and are committed to providing you with compassionate, inclusive care that truly understands and supports your identity.

Whether you're navigating gender-affirming treatments, mental health support, or routine care, we’re here to ensure you feel safe and empowered every step of the way.

Inclusive and comprehensive services

Far too often, LGBTQIA+ adults face health care disparities. We're here to close the gap with services that aren't just compassionate, but comprehensive.

Designated as a “Safe and Affirming” health professional

To earn the “Safe and Affirming” designation, health professionals individually complete an online training program developed by the National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center. The training covers a variety of clinical and cultural topics—such as proper terms, how to use pronouns, and much more—with the goal of reducing gaps in care, increasing trust, and building intentional connections with the LGBTQIA+ community.
