The Radiology Residency at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is a five-year program incorporating didactic and clinical components. The first year is completed in the Internal Medicine Residency at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital and will include two months of radiology at the end of the PGY-1 year, at which time, residents will begin to make the transition to the Radiology Residency program. Beginning at the end of the PGY-1 year and progressively thereafter, the overall approach is to develop the resident's ability to evaluate and interpret various imaging modalities as they relate to the patients’ clinical presentation, and for the resident to become proficient in various radiologic interventional procedures.

These goals are accomplished by interdepartmental exposure, integrating the training program with other departments within the institution and by affiliation with the Statewide Campus System of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM).
Our mission is to train radiology residents to provide high-quality, compassionate, personalized, diagnostic and interventional imaging services to each and every one of our patients, every day, consistent with the central mission of Corewell Health. The Radiology Residency Program at Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is designed to create well-rounded ready-to-practice community radiologists ready to provide high-value care to our patients through an educational paradigm emphasizing the Corewell Health patient and family centered care (PFCC) model and American College of Radiology “Imaging 3.0” value-Based Imaging Initiative. Our program’s residents proceed to high-quality, nationally recognized, fellowships in subspecialty radiology. We pass on a strong commitment to continuing education within our specialty, including many who have returned as faculty.
