Immediate life-saving care

Corewell Health has specifically trained emergency-medicine doctors in our emergency facilities. In addition, every specialty is standing by to treat adult and pediatric crises, mental-health crises, and more. No matter the emergency, we’re here 24/7 to provide life-saving care. And for the most extreme situations, we have several Level I Trauma Centers.

When to visit the emergency room (ER)

Nearly half of all patients could have received more affordable care outside the emergency department. Knowing this, you may want to visit an urgent care or primary-care doctor when not facing an emergency.
