We provide comprehensive evaluations to help diagnose a wide range of neurodevelopmental challenges in children and adolescents, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), dyslexia, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities, and more.
From there, our multidisciplinary specialists work together to build personalized, family-centered programs designed to help your child reach their full potential.
Our goal with each assessment is to carefully identify your child’s strengths and challenges so we can provide recommendations to help them maximize their abilities.
The evaluation process may include:
These tests assess your child’s gross and fine motor ability, language ability, visual processing skills, memory, and other mental processing skills.
After a multidisciplinary team assessment is completed, our team will develop a summary of the results, diagnoses, and recommendations for your next steps.
This gives us important background information about your child and allows us to determine which type of assessment is needed. With your permission, we may ask to speak with teachers and school personnel as well.
These observations and tests assess your child’s verbal and nonverbal problem-solving skills, working memory, behavior, and attention.
If your child is school-aged, we assess your child’s ability to process and complete academic tests appropriate for their age and grade level.
Assessments are provided at the Center for Human Development in Southfield. No referral is necessary.
