What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health in West Michigan? I lived in Grand Rapids during medical school and absolutely loved the city. Corewell Health also has the perfect balance of community feel and academic resources and opportunities. I'm especially looking forward to training in a high-volume, high-acuity program while serving the diverse communities of West Michigan.

Clinical interests: Community health and social justice have been an integral part of my journey in medicine and I'm looking forward to putting them into practice as a future OBGYN generalist. I am also interested in medical education, high-risk obstetrics, and reproductive justice.

Hobbies: I love being outside, whether it's walking my dog, exploring the city, or camping. Perfect days often include a coffee and a sweet treat. I also collect vinyl records and enjoy shopping for new additions at local record stores.

I am so excited to start residency at Corewell Health because it feels like the perfect mix of strong clinical training and a really supportive team environment. I'm looking forward to being in a high-volume program where I can stay challenged, get a lot of hands-on experience, and become more confident as an OB/GYN. I also really appreciated the supportive and welcoming culture when I rotated here as a student and am looking forward to learning from everyone and building strong relationships with my co-residents!

Clinical interests: At this point in my training, I am planning to pursue a career as a generalist, but I am excited to explore and learn about all aspects of the field. I'm especially interested in preventive medicine and trauma-informed care within OB/GYN, with a passion for advocacy. I also really enjoy patient and medical education, and the role both play in improving patient care and shaping the training of future physicians.

Additionally, as someone from the greater Grand Rapids area, continuing my medical training at Corewell West allows me to stay close to friends and family.

Clinical interests: I’m passionate about providing patient-centered care and promoting equitable access to health care. I’m drawn to the variety that a career as an OB/GYN offers, with a particular interest in gynecologic surgery. I’m currently undecided whether I will work as a generalist after completing residency or pursue a fellowship in gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, or minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

Hobbies: In my free time, I enjoy staying active, traveling, trying new foods, cooking, and reading.

I am excited about learning the skills of becoming a proficient clinician, and a better teacher for my future patients. Also, I have never lived in Grand Rapids or the Western half of Michigan, and I am excited about meeting my new coworkers and team members.

Clinical interests: I have always been clinically interested in genetics, and that has progressed in medical school to being interested in endometriosis.

Hobbies: I have three main hobbies: baking, volleyball, and photography. I have been baking pies and other desserts since I was a child, although most of my time as a kid was spent as a taste tester. I have played volleyball since I was in elementary school, and always try and find a new group to join wherever I move. Finally, photography has been one of my favorite ways to explore places and perspectives.

I’m also looking forward to getting to know my co-residents and to living in western Michigan where fall isn’t just a rumor like it sometimes feels in Montana, but a season that actually commits.

Clinical interests: I am interested in general OBGYN, perimenopausal care, fertility, reproductive health and global health. I also am drawn to the surgical subspecialties and look forward to exploring these areas further during my training. With my background in nutrition science, I remain particularly passionate about the role of nutrition and exercise in shaping maternal and neonatal outcomes.

Hobbies: Outside of work or studying I enjoy spending time outdoors whether that is taking my dog on a hike, biking, rock climbing or downhill skiing. I also enjoy pushing myself in the gym, especially through CrossFit. Traveling and experiencing new places through their food is another thing I love to do. I'm looking forward to the high-volume Labor and Delivery experience, extensive hands-on surgical training, and the unique opportunity to learn in both academic and community hospital settings. Most of all, I'm eager to train alongside a supportive group of faculty and co-residents who are passionate about the field and deeply committed to serving the West Michigan community!

Clinical interests: Although I am currently planning to pursue a career as a generalist, I'm especially drawn to minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, urogynecology, and improving access to reproductive healthcare for all patients.
