I was immediately drawn to the warmth and genuine nature that was exhibited from just the introductory video on the residency page. I knew being close to Chicago, and being able to take care of a wide range of diverse patients was key to what I wanted in my training. Corewell offered that and more.

What are your clinical interests? I have interests in infectious disease, primary care medicine, and hospitalist medicine.

Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my co-residents, friends and family. I like hiking, being outdoors when I can, and exploring new restaurants and local food spots in Grand Rapids.

The program has everything I was looking for lung transplant center, ECMO exposure, high complex ICU cases, and is located in one of the best areas in Michigan.

Clinical interests: I am passionate working with challenges critical care cases, Pulmonary Hypertension, and ECMO. 

Hobbies: I love doing outdoor activities jogging, kayak, fishing, and snowboarding. Soccer is another passion.

I'm particularly drawn to the strong mentorship and collaborative environment, which are essential for my growth as a physician.

Clinical interests: I'm drawn to the field as a whole — the acuity of critical care, the complexity of chronic lung diseases, and the evolving nature of pulmonary medicine all deeply interest me. While I don't yet have a defined niche, I'm excited to explore the diverse opportunities within the field and let my passion and experiences guide me toward where I'm meant to be. 

Hobbies: I love trying new restaurants and exploring different cuisines and coffee shops with my wife. In addition to that, I enjoy playing basketball and pickleball, which are fun ways to stay active and connect with friends.

Culturally, on the day of my interview, I found the leadership very easy to talk to and the vibe felt very similar to my residency program, where I had a great experience. It felt like the perfect balance of professionalism and feeling like I could just be myself, which allowed us to grow into the best versions of ourselves. Academically, Corewell Health in West Michigan offers the full spectrum of pulmonary and critical care pathologies, which provides the opportunity to pursue all of our interests.

Clinical interests: I have always loved critical care and enjoy procedures in and outside of the ICU. While I love the excitement of critical care, I previously completed a transplant research fellowship in Madison, WI, and am excited about the lung transplant program. Outside of clinical practice, I love to teach and, in the future, I would like to be involved with teaching at a fellowship or residency.

Hobbies: Growing up in New England, I have been skiing almost as long as I've been walking. I like to travel and do a lot of adventure activities like zip lining, skydiving, parasailing, etc. I also love to bike and go hiking. At home, I like gardening, baking (especially bread), cooking, and training my two cats to do tricks.

What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health in West Michigan? When applying for the fellowship, Corewell Health in West Michigan stood out to me from the start. Culturally, on the day of my interview, I found the leadership very easy to talk to and the vibe felt very similar to my residency program, where I had a great experience. It felt like the perfect balance of professionalism and feeling like I could just be myself, which allowed us to grow into the best versions of ourselves. Academically, Corewell Health in West Michigan offers the full spectrum of pulmonary and critical care pathologies, which provides the opportunity to pursue all of our interests.

Clinical interests: I have always loved critical care and enjoy procedures in and outside of the ICU. While I love the excitement of critical care, I previously completed a transplant research fellowship in Madison, WI, and am excited about the lung transplant program. Outside of clinical practice, I love to teach and, in the future, I would like to be involved with teaching at a fellowship or residency.

Hobbies: Growing up in New England, I have been skiing almost as long as I've been walking. I like to travel and do a lot of adventure activities like zip lining, skydiving, parasailing, etc. I also love to bike and go hiking. At home, I like gardening, baking (especially bread), cooking, and training my two cats to do tricks.
