What excites you about your residency/fellowship at Corewell Health? I am excited about coming home! Having done medical school in Grand Rapids, I am very familiar with the kind and generous learning environment afforded by Corewell Health in West Michigan. As Corewell Health is the major hospital system in West Michigan, covering the vast majority of the state, which offers ample and diverse learning opportunities. I am very excited to work with patients and families from socioeconomically and culturally diverse backgrounds that one might be surprised to find in the greater Grand Rapids area.  I am excited to experience all four seasons again, enjoy the food scene of Grand Rapids, live in a state that has a Meijer, and be close to my family and loved ones again!

Clinical interests: My clinical interests include cardiac critical care, heart failure, and transplant.

Hobbies: I enjoy visiting with family, attending sports events, musicals, and concerts, and exploring local food scenes.

I am excited about the opportunity to become familiar with a new health system and receive training at a high-volume, innovative academic medical center. The extensive exposure to cardiovascular conditions, along with the potential for academic research projects, will enhance my skills as a physician and future pediatric cardiologist. Additionally, I highly value the chance to engage with a diverse culture and connect with people from different parts of the world. This experience will broaden my perspective and deepen my understanding of compassionate patient care, ultimately enriching my professional development.

Clinical interests: I am interested in both congenital and acquired cardiac pathologies. I am fascinated by the vast diversity of this specialty, such as structural heart defects, cardiac physiology, and electrophysiology. I also enjoy the long-term relationships that often develop with patients due to the nature of many of these pathologies. Academically, I aim to explore the relationship between congenital heart diseases and the development of the immune system.

Hobbies: I enjoy hiking, swimming, cooking, and spending time with my family. Additionally, I love traveling and discovering new cultures and cuisines.
