Why did you choose Corewell Health for your residency/fellowship? Corewell Health, like Grand Rapids, is a hidden gem. I completed my internal medicine residency here at Corewell and was incredibly excited to stay here for my general cardiology and interventional cardiology training. A very busy large tertiary center with an open heart transplant center provides me and my co-fellows with all the experience we need to feel prepared for independent practice. But most importantly, the people here truly make this program stand out. The cardiology department is full of hard-working, smart, and genuinely kind people. I am constantly impressed by not only how intelligent and hard-working my colleagues and mentors are, but also by how kind and generous they are to trainees and staff. I get the opportunity every day to work in an environment that challenges me to be better and that also brings me joy.

What are your clinical interests? I am currently completing my interventional cardiology fellowship and aside from my interest in coronary interventional work and general cardiology medicine, I have an interest in women's cardiovascular disease and radiation safety in the cath lab.

Hobbies: I love to be outdoors whenever possible! Biking and playing basketball with friends are some of the warm-weather activities. I love to read for fun (like the nerd that I am) - and we have several really beautiful libraries (including the original Grand Rapids Library which is a few blocks from the hospital). I also regularly practice yoga and play the violin.
