Meet Our Core Clinical Faculty

The Fellowship Director will be responsible for general administration of the fellowship.

These activities will include

  • recruitment and selection of radiosurgery fellows
  • providing a written statement at the outset of the fellowship period outlining the educational objectives with respect to
    • knowledge
    • skills
    • research objectives
    • any other attributes necessary to become a highly regarded specialist in the field
  • scholarly environment to satisfy the outlined educational goals and objectives
  • participation in didactic conferences as described below
  • participation in fellow research projects and generation of scholarly papers and works as described below
  • guidance and technical support for fellows involved in research
  • actively participating in clinical discussions, cases, as well as conferences such that inquiry and scholarship are promoted for the fellow
  • regular evaluation of the fellow’s knowledge, skills, overall performance, and professional attitude, including written evaluations
  • providing adequate supervision related to all patient care duties

Additional faculty will include the radiation oncology staff, along with neurosurgery and/or neurotology staff members who are involved in Gamma Knife or other radiosurgery/stereotactic radiotherapy procedures, as well as CNS radiotherapy-related procedures.

These faculty members will actively participate in clinical discussions, radiosurgery procedures/cases (including all aspects of treatment immobilization, imaging, planning and delivery), as well as conferences such that inquiry and scholarship are promoted for the fellow.

The faculty will assist in development of medical and clinical knowledge of the fellow, in order to aide the fellow in achieving the fellowship objectives as outlined above.

The faculty will regularly evaluate of the fellow’s knowledge, skills, overall performance, and professional attitude, including written evaluations.

The faculty will be available and provide adequate supervision for all patient care duties.
