Safety is the most important consideration when selecting items.

No used items. We only accept new items with tags/in packaging toys, games, books, and stuffed animals.

Violent games and books, toy guns, swords, and projectile toys are not accepted.

We cannot accept drones, candy, food, or glow items.

Please refrain from donating items that contain religious or political themes.

Due to safety recalls, please do not include dollar store Items.

Arts and craft materials must have a non-toxic seal.

Please do not bundle/gift bag items as not all items are appropriate for every child.

Specific brands: "Play Doh" and "Crayons" must be Playdoh, Crayola, and/or Crazy Art brands due to ingredients and non-toxic seal of approval.

Do not donate items known to contain natural rubber latex due to allergies. Including, but not limited to, rubber balloons, Koosh balls, rubber stamps, rubber balls, rubber erasers, paddles with rubber balls attached, etc.

Leave gifts unwrapped, as it will allow caregivers to see what gift options are when choosing items for their child.

Boxing like items together in your donation at drop off is very helpful! (for example, all Lego sets together, all infant toys together, etc.)

Please note due to hospital policies, donors are not able to directly hand out donations to patients and families. Please know our staff will ensure the items are utilized for the benefit of patients and families during the event and beyond.

Must be brand new and limited to no more than 100 books (same/various titles).

Board books are always a high-demand item.

Candy/food – Due to allergies, patient food preferences, nutrition requirements, and parental preferences.

Religious items – We are not a religious institution, so we cannot promote a religion of any kind and we cannot distribute items religious in nature.

Used (even gently used) items – Due to our infection prevention protocol.

Scented items – Due to allergies and because scented items are often too strong for our patients.

Handmade Knit/Crochet items – They do not hold up to the hospital-grade laundering policy required by infection prevention protocols.

Items that are powered by button batteries that are not secured by a screw (button batteries are extremely toxic if swallowed).

Fluid-filled squishable/fidget toys, as the fluid can be toxic or present a choking hazard, should it break open.

Anything with Orbeez (water beads), as they are toxic if swallowed.
