Child Life Care Supports Young Leukemia Patient
Kennedy was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in 2020, undergoing treatments at Corewell Health Children’s amidst COVID restrictions. Therapy dogs Olive and Millie brought her comfort during hospital visits, helping her cope with treatment. Now in remission since April 2023, Kennedy and her twin sister Regan aspire to open an animal shelter and become veterinarians, inspired by their experiences with the therapy dogs.
