Patient care journey

Patients and their families should plan for their first appointment to last about an hour. A blood draw is often done at first visits for medically-complex conditions. This is done on site. Please bring copies of any medical records, logs or notes from health systems outside of Corewell Health. Also bring copies of any out of state, or out of country, vaccination records.

Meet the team

Our pediatric infectious diseases team is led by a dedicated group of board-certified physicians. Our team includes registered nurses and a medical social worker who have experience with infectious diseases in children. The team works closely with other subspecialties and departments at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, including pulmonology, otolaryngology, rheumatology, hematology/oncology, surgical specialists, pediatric sedation, gastroenterology, and neurology to provide coordinated, comprehensive and kid friendly care.
