Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)

The Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) reviews and oversees research involving potentially hazardous biological materials such as infectious agents, human tissues, and recombinant or synthetic nucleic acids to ensure activities are conducted safely and responsibly. The committee is also responsible for approving such research, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with NIH Guidelines and other biosafety regulations.
