We accept up to three full-time interns (with or without a college affiliation) each semester, including those with in-progress coursework at the time of application.
Interns complete two six-week rotations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Interns also have two weeks to observe other departments, providing a broader view of child life services beyond their core rotations.
Our well-rounded curriculum includes readings, assignments, in-services, and hands-on experience to prepare interns for a future career as a child life specialist.
This is a full-time, 16-week, 600-hour experience that includes weekend shifts. Part-time options may be available during the spring semester only for students who need to work during their internship.
