The Corewell Health Trauma Recovery Center partners with survivors of violence to ensure they receive the help needed to begin healing from the trauma caused by interpersonal violence. We follow the evidence-based and trauma-informed practice model of care developed by the University of California-San Francisco. The Corewell Health Trauma Recovery Center advocates and supports patients through inclusive, survivor-centered services.
Improve health, instill humanity and inspire hope of those who have been impacted by interpersonal violence.
Survivor of violent crime in the last three years and/or have lost a family member to homicide
All services are provided free of charge to eligible patients
Support, accompaniment and advocacy pertaining to recent impacts of interpersonal violence including navigation of the criminal legal system, medical services and other victim and patient related systems.
Assist with immediate needs such as food, clothing, shelter accessing medical care, financial benefits, legal services and more.
Individual therapy and crisis intervention using evidence-based and trauma informed practices to lower distress and improve safety and wellness.
Medication evaluation and management with regular follow-up with a psychiatrist
