Corewell Health Ludington Hospital features sixteen state-of-the-art treatment areas, including two trauma rooms. We are able to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, intensive care and stabilization of injured patients and emergency procedures. In addition, we have developed transfer agreements, including emergency helicopter transport services, for patients requiring more comprehensive care at a Level I or Level II trauma center. Corewell Health Ludington Hospital also features “FastER Track” emergency department care for patients with minor illnesses and injuries. Patients are treated by a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with an emergency physician overseeing all care and treatment provided by these mid-level providers. With this service, our patients experience prompt treatment and minimal waiting. Most patients in the “FastER” are triaged, seen, diagnosed, treated and released in about an hour. If you have an emergency and need an ambulance, call 911. The emergency department does not give medical advice or treat callers over the phone. If you feel you need to be seen, you can contact your health care provider or go to the nearest emergency department for care.
