Dr. Ashley Kowalkowski is the medical simulation director at Lakeland Simulation Training Center at Corewell Health Lakeland. She is an emergency medicine physician who completed a longitudinal track in medical education during her residency training. Dr. Kowalkowski works closely with the Simulation Manager to ensure the program operations are aligned with the program’s mission, goals, and objectives. She liaisons directly with the Graduate Medical Education administration to ensure that each residency program’s educational needs are being met, as well as ensures quality and up-to-date best practices of the programs.

Spring Lutzen is the manager of Corewell Health Lakeland Simulation Training Center. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. She oversees all aspects of CHLSTC, including the scheduling of educational activities. She is critical to the plan, design, implementation, and evaluation of all educational programs and activities through SHLSTC. She completed her bachelor's at Grand Canyon University and has 15 years of clinical experience as a respiratory therapist with advanced training in neonatal and pediatric care.

Darcy Fox is the simulation educator at Corewell Health Lakeland Simulation Training Center. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. She is also responsible for the coordination and delivery of the center's educational activities including immersive clinical simulations, standardized patient encounters, and in situ simulations. Additionally, she is a key instructor for the organization's nursing orientation program delivered through SHLSTC.  Darcy received her Bachelor of Nursing at Western Michigan University and has many years of nursing experience with a background focused on oncology and post-surgical care.  Since transitioning into medical simulation, she has received ongoing education in moulage and simulation basics through Drexel University.
