Curriculum

The majority of the fellowship training is provided in the angiography suites.

Rotations

  • curriculum includes rotations through the Imaging Interventional service to gain experience with image-guided biopsy and drainage
  • rotation in the imaging division provides experience with performing and interpreting magnetic resonance angiography and CT angiography
  • rotation through the institution's vascular lab provides experience with non-invasive ultrasound evaluation of patients with vascular disease
  • a dedicated research rotation is also provided

Didactics

The training program provides a variety of didactic teaching experiences for the trainee. Clinical teaching occurs during procedures and at the alternators during read-out sessions. A weekly division conference as well as monthly morbidity/mortality conferences are held. An interventional radiology lecture series occurs throughout the year with one or two lectures given each month.

The trainee participates in a variety of multidisciplinary conferences, including a monthly vascular surgery conference and endovascular conference.
