Our sports medicine fellowship program consists of two-month and three-month block rotations with a team on service that includes Corwell Health residents, outside rotating residents and medical students.
The educational program includes
The fellow, under attending supervision, will be responsible for coordinating and leading arthroscopic wet lab training for the residents. Access to the wet labs for personal advancement of arthroscopic skills is also easily available.
The fellow will be financially supported to attend at least one national subspecialty meeting such as
The program will offer educational opportunities about practice initiation and management, coding and billing regulations, and bioethical and medico-legal issues.
There is a bi-monthly sports medicine core curriculum conference on Wednesday mornings coordinated by the fellow. The rotating weekly topics and articles will be presented by the fellow and rotating residents on the service. Members of the sports medicine and shoulder faculty, rotating residents and rehabilitation staff will actively participate.
In coordination with the shoulder and elbow fellowship, the sports fellow will also participate in a bi-weekly Wednesday morning conference focusing on pre-operative shoulder and elbow indications and cases.
