Pharmacy residents receive benefits due to all full-time, non-union, exempt employee status. Those benefits include:

    • The approximate PGY1 salary is $58,700/year
  • Paid time off (PTO):
    • Annual accrual of 216 hours per year based on an exempt employee status
    • Residents are allowed to use PTO during the year
      • No more than 1 days per rotation block upon approval
      • PTO cannot be used for required staffing shifts
  • Remainder PTO hours will be paid off at termination if employed for one year
  • Longitudinal project days
    • in addition to research month, a one project day is granted per rotation block
  • Reimbursement
    • Approved travel to conferences is at the discretion of the organization. Previously attended conferences included ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and a regional pharmacy residency conference. If travel is approved, paid expenses (hotel, registration, meals, transportation) will typically be approved up to $3,000 annually. If total expenses are expected to exceed $3,000, approval will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
