Below is a list of available in-person and virtual events and programs offered through our department. We have classes to support overall lifestyle behaviors and health, including cooking classes, nutrition education, exercise education, and more.
Six month series
Patients learn how a nutritious diet can prevent or reverse obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. This program includes hands-on cooking, appointments, and group coaching with a registered dietitian.
Once per month for three months
Developed for patients seeking to improve their diabetes condition, or even put it into remission, this program teaches the root cause of insulin resistance and includes optional visits by a registered dietitian and/or chef-led classes.
Five sessions
Featuring hands-on cooking classes led by a registered dietitian and chef, this program is designed for those seeking to improve their overall gut health or address diseases like irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or Crohn’s.
Two appointments
In a group environment led by a lifestyle medicine doctor, patients participate in a medically supervised five-day fast.
Lifestyle and culinary medicine offers free group programs to promote healthy cooking, positive lifestyle changes, and tobacco/nicotine treatment and support opportunities. These classes are led by chefs, dietitians, health coaches, and tobacco treatment specialists.
Led by a chef, our hands-on cooking classes are open to the public and topics include healthy and good tasting cooking as well as movement.
Whether you have teens or young ones, our hands-on cooking and nutrition classes make healthy eating easy and fun for the whole family.
