Get independent

A learning disability, visual, or physical impairment doesn’t need to prevent you from driving. Our certified driving instructors/licensed occupational therapists will work closely with you to gain your independence and get you safely behind the wheel.

Our training vehicles are equipped with the necessary physical and visual-adapted controls, so you can confidently practice your driving skills with our instructors’ oversight.

Our approach

Whether you are a new driver or not—or whether you have experienced a physical, sensory, or cognitive setback—our certified driving instructors will be right beside you as you improve your driving skills.

Our program includes:

Initial evaluation
A two-hour comprehensive evaluation—including driving-history interview, physical, visual, perceptual, and cognitive assessments.

Individual instruction plan
Personalized driving plans are built to each driver’s unique needs. The amount of training varies based on disability and previous driving experience.

On-road practice and assessment
You will practice all necessary traffic rules and skills in a variety of road conditions, including residential, business, and highway driving along with parking. Your certified instructor will be there for your final driving assessment.
